FAQ for MAINTENANCE 

WHAT SERVICE PACKAGE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

CHLORINE PUCKS POOLS - If you have a large pool or a pool that has high levels of organic matter, like trees that blow debris into the pool, we recommend our 3X Weekly Package. You get us there 3X per week Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So, it's almost bullet proof that your pool will be in great condition. Our 2X Weekly Package is a great option as we visit on Tuesday and Friday. We do not offer a weekly service for Chlorine Pucks pools as the chlorine must be tested and replenished at least 2 x per week for consistency of water quality.

SALT WATER POOLS - Since the salt water system is automatically creating chlorine, we only have to be there 1 x per week for Saltwater Pools. So, our 1X Per Week Package works for most clients. For larger pools, over 100,000 liters or a pool that gets heavy use, we recommend a minimum 2X Weekly Package.

With all pools, as we are only at your pool up to 3 hours per week, you will have to be engaged. You may test the water as often as you would like, with the test strips, to make sure the chlorine is always in range.

WILL MY POOL BE READY FOR SWIMMING AFTER YOU LEAVE?
Typically, within 15 minutes, after we leave you can enter the pool. We will let you know if you need to stay out any longer via email or text. 

WHAT IF MY POOL TURNS GREEN? 
This is a possibility when you have low chlorine and hot weather. It is a very rare occurrence with Saltwater pools because the Salt System is always generating chlorine for you. It is like a babysitter for your pool. So, we typically only see chlorine pucks pools turn green. Chlorine puck pools cannot rely on any sort of automated chlorine delivery so these pools can lose the chlorine fast and turn green. We highly recommend the 3X Per Week Package for chlorine puck pools if you are struggling with chlorine. Simply, the more times per week we are attending your pool, the less likely a green pool can occur. We do offer a one-time per year "NO CHARGE" green pool fix to get your pool back to swimming conditions. We will then discuss the solutions to make sure your pool stays clear. This may include recommending a more frequent package as we want to keep you enjoying your pool without interruption!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

For Weekly Packages you need to be check the following:

* Maintaining water level 1/2 way up skimmer
* Clean the Skimmer Basket(s) on Weekly Basis or as needed
* Calling us if your pool is down. Without circulation algae will bloom
* If you have a heavy use, with 10 or more guests, switch the Salt System to SUPERCHLORINATE for 24 hours. Or if you have a chlorine pool you would shock it with granular shock after the party.
* Use an automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner in between visits to maintain a clean pool floor.
* Test the water with dip strips and adjust the chlorinator as neccesay to maintain 3ppm of chlorine.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES NOT INCLUDED

* All Packages are based on normal circumstances of one hour per visit. Approx 45 minutes of vacuuming and 15 minutes of chemical & operational maintenance.
* Abnormal circumstances, that require extra time, will be billed at $120/hour.
* Removal and pressure wash of cartridge filters, during the season, is and extra $120 per set during our your maintenance day or $150 special trip in.
* If you have High Alkalinity well water, Acid Magic will be billed Extra. If required.
* For Chlorine Puck pools we use stabilized pucks. Over time the stabilizer in the pool may reach over 100ppm or higher and then we will switch to non-stabilized pucks. These must be placed in the skimmer, NOT in an erosion feeder. Once the stabilizer returns to below 100ppm, we will switch back to stabilized pucks. To reduce the stabilizer levels below 100, you may want to dilute the water by draining a foot of water out of the pool and refilling. You may want to wait until the end of the season and drain an extra foot out the pool when you lower the water for winterizing, Then refill the pool back to a winterizing level,which is just under the return jets. The water cost to refill is the homeowner’s responsibilty.
